Roaming finger food throughout the evening, food everywhere in the valley

Three floors to explore, great tunes, wall to wall Gen X and Millennial energy

Smart casual, casually smart, dressed as Donald Duck... meh, you do you.
How the Night Unfolds
Flow of the Night
Doors Open
Arrive, grab a drink, say hello. The bar tab is open.
Possible Welcome, Probable Toast
There may be speeches, probably not. By then we're likely already toast.
Finger Food Appears
Roaming plates should start circulating around now. Follow the trays and pace yourself like an adult.
Dance Floor Energy
There will be music, and the messier among you might start dancing.
After Dark Callout
El Ritmo wraps at midnight. The Valley doesn't. Plenty of shit to do and regrets to be had.
Lights Up
The official wrap, but the night is still young if you want it.
Strippers, The Valley & Kebabs
Brunswick Street, kebabs, and a night of regrets.
We've taken over El Ritmo for the night, one of Brisbane's most beloved gin bars, tucked into Fortitude Valley with an extraordinary selection of gins, a proper cocktail menu, and enough space to get lost in.
The courtyard is ours, with lush palms, timber tables, fairy lights under the open Brisbane sky. The bar tab is open, roaming plates go all night, and the whole venue is yours to explore. This is the backdrop we always wanted for fifty.
El Ritmo gives us a few different ways to do a 50th properly. There's the main bar for drinks, noise, and saying hello to people you haven't seen in years as if no time has passed at all. There's the courtyard and boardroom if you want a slightly more civilised chat under the lights. And there's the attic upstairs for anyone needing a quieter corner, a strategic sit-down, or a small break from everyone else's excellent stories.
Which is ideal, because not everyone does a party the same way at this age. Some of you will want martinis and mischief, some will want a proper catch-up, and some will spend a solid part of the evening wandering around saying, "Wait, do I know that person?" Either way, there's room for a drink, a gossip, a snack, and whatever level of dignity remains by the end of the night.
